  1.    Christy Dodd:

    The first thing that Joseph needs to do is go to a manager and let them know how he feel about the sitaution. If that does not work he should go above that person until something is accomplished;
Joseph shoould not discuss this matter outside of the workplace, because he could lose his job.

  2.    Lacey Nelson:

Joseph needs to chat with the other employees and find out the procedure of the promotion methods. They may not tell him simply because they may want the job and dont want to give any secrets away. If he discusses the issue outside of work he may have a better chance of getting the promotion because someone else may have better advice to give him rather then someone he works with.

  3.    zack:

Joseph should either begin to look for a new job or continue to work hard and hope to get a promotion. He may also risk upsetting his employers if his thoughts are known.

  4.    Nancy Eggersdorf:

Joseph should request a meeting with his supervisor to discuss promotion policies. He should ask questions about what is required to be considered for promotion.
If Joseph speaks to someone outside the company about the situation, he could lose the trust of his superiors and his coworkers, and possibly lose his job.

  5.    James Walden:

Step number one would be to ask questions. Ask an experianced, semi-trustworthy co-worker. Step two, improved insight, because sometimes it’s better to ask somebody who’s on the outside looking in, who’s not biased.

  6.    Barbara Coker:

Joseph should speak to his boss about the promotion procedures. He should ask questions about the procedures.
Joseph should not discuss this matter with anyone outside of his job because he could lose his job.

  7.    Kim Griggs:

Joseph should go to his boss and request a meeting. That he would like to know how the promotion policies are and how he should do them. If that doesn’t work maybe he should try and talk to one of his employees and ask them what they think and how it works. If he trys to find the answer outside the company then they may not know what he is talking about and just make things up and it might not help him in the end.

joseph should talk with his manager about the situation and find out exactly the requirements to being promoted. If he feels he is not satisfied with what he hoped would be accomplished, then he should take his actions to a higher authority. He should not talk about his situation and feelings about this outside of work for he may lose his job due to his feelings of anger about it.

  9.    Bethany Daniel:

Joseph should work hard and try to make about point on wanting a promotion. He should meet with his boss/supervisor and see what is required for the promotion he wants. Once he figures out the requirement he should work as hard as possible to achieve them. Staying positive always has a positive out come.

  10.    Cheri German:

The first thing Joseph should do is discuss this with his personel manager. Ask what he needs to do to get this promotion he feels he deserves and needs. If his manager can’t or won’t answer these questions, he needs to make an appointment to talk to the personal manager’s boss and explain what’s going on. It could be an oversight on the personel manager’s record keeping. Joseph shouldn’t discuss this matter with any fellow employees as this could cause him to either get fired or his hours cut. The problem needs to be kept between the managers and himself.

  11.    Vince:

I personally think from reading those few words on the lost promotion there’s probably not much he can do. He could take his anger and turn it into something positive by working harder or even searching for another job with fairer promotional policies. A mistake may be made by discussing this outside of the organization, in which could result in him losing his job.

Joseph should think about his working skills. Has he really worked to the best he could possible do?
The next step would to request a meeting with his company superiors about maybe getting his promotion. It would be a bad idea, to bring out side partys into the company’s matters.

  13.    Darlene Beckworth:

Joseph should speak to human resources or his supervisor about his concerns. He should not discuss his concerns with outside individuals. He could give the wrong idea about his company or get wrong information from outsiders.

  14.    Kimberly Turner:

The first step Joseph needs to take is go to his boss and ask him about the promotion procedures. Joseph then after asking about the promotion procedures with his boss, then he could as a good friend whom is a co-worker about his insight on the procedures. The second step could very well be asking someone outside the business and see what they think he sould do about the promotion procedures, but in asking this person make sure it is someone he can trust.

  15.    Evelyn Sandiford:

Joseph should begin by speaking to the person just above him. Joseph should ask what exactly is expected of him in order to be promoted. If he doesn’t get an answer with this person; he then needs to go to a higher level. To have an outlet, he could speak with his mate or friend. He should not speak to someone with a different company, it could get back to his supervisor.

  16.    Michael Gramling:

Joseph should have discussed this when he attended the interview to get the job, however, he will need to meet with someone in charge of payroll to answer his question. Outside advice could be another alternative. If that is a problem, then maybe he should consider another job.

  17.    Wendy Parker:

Joseph must make an appointment with his immediate supervisor to discuss company policies regarding promotions. Joseph needs to make sure that he is courteous and non confrontational during the meeting. Most companies have an employee handbook of some kind. Joseph needs to request a copy of the handbook and review any questions he may still have with his supervisor.

  19.    Chris Harbin:

The first thing Joseph needs to do is remain professional. The next step would be to discuss the issue with his supervisor. If he still remains unsatisfied, then he could contact the company president. If he discusses the issue outside the company,he could risk losing he job.

  20.    JP:

If I was joseph i would go to the next meeting and ask that we hold a meeting on promossion proceders. If he would come out and say somthing to some one then mabey people might see his poiny of view on things.

  21.    Brittney Jenks:

Joseph should consult someone who would be directly related to the promotion procedures. He needs to know all the facts and information about promotions. He also needs to know all the character traits that the company looks for in leaders. After taking the appropriate steps, Joseph should look at himself and decide whether he is a candidate for the promotion. If Joseph did decide to discuss this topic out of the office, he would need to be careful who he talked to. This person(s) should be level headed and also not linked to the company. If something is said that may be deemed inappropriate to someone who has ties with the company, he could lose his job. On the other hand, it could be very helpful to speak with someone who does not have their own opion about the company.

  22.    Jason Deppa:

If i was Joseph i would confront my boss and ask him about the promotion procedure in the business. If he does not give you a procedure i would look for other jobs in the area.

  23.    Robert Bryant:

I think Joseph should go to the boss and ask about the promotion procedure and see if his boss can change it or if he could move up faster. If Joseph discusses this with anyone it could get back to his boss and make him mad.

  24.    Brittany Heaton:

In my opinion, Joseph should go to his manager or whoever is in charge and explain how he feels. Maybe Joseph unknowenly is doing something that is stopping him from getting his promotion. Neverless, he well accoplish nothing by discussing his situation with people outside of the company.

  25.    Sam Reeves:

Joseph should acquire the necessary skills to excel in his field to put myself in a better position to be promoted. Discussing this with friends outside of his company will only bore his friends.
